We want everyone to be able to use this site. Our target is WCAG 2.1 level AA. We have not had an outside audit.

What we have tested

  • Colour contrast. Every text and background colour pair is checked in light and dark themes.
  • Keyboard. We designed the demo and the other tools to work with the keyboard alone. We have not had an outside audit. Keyboard focus is shown with a clear ring.
  • Automatic scans. We ran automatic accessibility scans on parts of the site: the "Make it yours" tool and the feature table, in light and dark themes.
  • Small screens. Pages are checked down to 360 px wide with no sideways page scroll.
  • Less motion. If your device asks for less motion, animations are turned off.
  • Colour is not the only clue. States such as "observed", "gap" and "slowest" are also shown in words.
  • Themes. The site follows your device's light or dark setting. You can also choose one.
  • Without scripts. The demo and the tools need scripts. The text still reads. The theme button is hidden then.

Automatic scans find only some problems. They do not replace a real check with assistive tools and real users. We test against WCAG 2.1 level AA and welcome reports of any problem.

Known limits

  • Wide feature table. The "periodic table" of features is very wide. It scrolls sideways inside its own box, not the whole page. You can reach it with the keyboard.
  • Timed demo. The mini-test runs on a fixed 3-minute clock. You cannot pause it or add time. You can hide the clock, and you can start again.
  • Clock display. The on-screen clock can lag the real time by about one second.
  • Link size. Some menu links are smaller than the 44 px we use for buttons. Footer links are at least 24 px tall.
  • Narrow screens. On very small screens the menu wraps onto two lines.
  • Not in the demo. The demo has no calculator, no highlighter and no help screens.
  • Theme choice. A theme you pick on one tab does not change other open tabs.
